Banco Mare Nostrum (Bankia)

Banco Mare Nostrum (BMN) was a Spanish bank founded in 2010 as the result of the merger of four savings banks: Caja Murcia, Caixa Penedès, Caja Granada and Sa Nostra. Its headquarters was in Madrid.

The financial business of Catalonia and Aragon, operated under the “Caixa Penedès” brand, was sold by BMN to Banco Sabadell.

On January 8, 2018, the deed of the merger by absorption of Banco Mare Nostrum (BMN) was taken over by Bankia.
