Standard Chartered Hong Kong is a licensed bank incorporated in Hong Kong, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered, a leading international banking group operating for over 150 years in the world’s most dynamic markets.

The bank opened its first branch in Hong Kong back in 1859 as the Chartered Bank of India, Australia, and China. In 2000, Standard Chartered acquired the Hong Kong-based retail banking business of the Chase Manhattan Bank, including Chase Manhattan Card Company Limited.
