Banks in France

French banks are considered as one of the most developed reliable financial institutions not only in the European Union but also globally.

The largest banking groups in France are BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Group, Societe Generale Group, Groupe BPCE and Groupe Crédit Mutuel-CIC.

Most banks’ branches work from Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00 with a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:30; however, some are open on Saturday mornings and closed on Mondays. On the eve of holidays, banks can only work in the morning.
