The Banque Populaire group was a mutual banking and financial group, made up of Regional People’s Banks (including BRED), as well as the Federal Bank of Popular Banks, the central body of the group until 2009, a year of historical losses.
At this date, the Banques Populaires merge their central body with that of the French Savings Banks, to form the new Groupe BPCE.
